Pecan Milk Honey Cinnamon Latte | With Agent Nateur Holi Mane Collagen

Pecan Milk Honey Cinnamon Latte | With Agent Nateur Holi Mane Collagen
World wide Starbucks defines a morning latte. However, most may not know that the $5 coffee in their hand contains a heavy amount of refined sugar, inflammatory oils, and milks alternatives loaded with gums, and added oils. As a morning alternative I have been making my own milks, and lattes infused with skin and hair enhancing supplements. Just because you are making at home lattes does not mean you have to miss out on the fun. I love making my own milks, and can not wait to share a collection of coffee recipes to try. This is my favorite fall and winter morning coffee recipe that makes you feel like you can grab a fuzzy blanket, cozy up on the couch with a good book. It features homemade pecan milk, honey, and cinnamon on top.

Featured Ingredients Benefits + Tools

Agent Nature Holi Mane:
I have tried many collagen supplements in the past and when I say Agent's supplement is hands down the best I really mean it. Prior, I took collagen and never really noticed a difference in my hair or nails. With Agent I noticed in one week shinier hair and nails I have to clip once a week! Also it is completely tasteless! Agent Natuer's holi ( mane ) for flourishing hair, radiant skin and resilient nails. This odorless and nearly flavorless blend is abundant in over 30 trace minerals, including silica, magnesium, calcium and potassium that support optimal hair, skin and nail health. It combines two daily powerhouse super foods, marine collagen and pearl powder, to boost dull, fragile hair, dehydrated skin, brittle nails, and fine lines and wrinkles. One scope is all you need in your daily coffee, tea or water to get all the benefits.

Okay, so I have been on a kick to making my own milks for years! Most milk alternatives at the store, even the organic ones, contain oils and gums. Prior, I use the old school method of a nut milk bag and blender. I use to batch make it for the week but if you have ever done this process it is time consuming and a little messy. This year I purchased this Nutr machine and absolutely love it! If you are going to be making nut milks routinely it will save you time.

Summer Moon Coffee:
I was so worried moving back to Texas because Wisconsin has such amazing coffee shops. However, my first week here I visited Summer Moon Coffee Roasters and fell in love. Summer Moon Coffee is organic coffee beans are roasted over an open flame in a one-of-a-kind, brick roaster. There’s nothing quite like a cup of Summer Moon coffee. My favorite roast right now is the Costa Rica blend or the Sweet Hearth.

Local Honey + Cinnamon
My favorite coffee alternative to adding sugar is a small amount of local honey or I'll use dates. Local honey has a lot more health benefits like a boost of antioxidants, and has healing benefits during cold season. Cinnamon has been known to be loaded with antioxidants, and has anti-inflammatory properties. These two are a staple for me in my morning cup of coffee.
Now that we know all 5 ingredients going in our morning cup of coffee , let's get into the recipe.

Recipe + Instructions

Coffee:

5-6 tablespoons of ground coffee

Hot Water

French Press

 Pecan Milk:

4 tablespoons of Pecans
Water to the fill line for the nutr machine
1/2 tsp. of vanilla bean powder or 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Honey and Cinnamon to taste.

Instructions:

First make the coffee by placing 5-6 tablespoons of ground coffee into a french press. Add boiling hot water until almost full and place french press top on while coffee steeps a few minutes. While the coffee is steeping, make the pecan milk. Place pecans, water to nutr fill line, and vanilla extract or vanilla bean powder, and the Holi Mane supplement. Press the button to start the machine and I let pecan milk go through two cycles of blending for the perfect smooth creamy milk. Once pecan milk is ready, push down on the french press to strain the coffee. Assemble your morning latte! I add a touch of honey at the bottom of my mug, add coffee, and then strain the pecan milk on top. Give a stir and then dash over the cinnamon for that extra added touch. While it may sound like a process this only takes me about 5 minutes in the morning and I have the best cup of coffee for less than half the price of a Starbucks and filled with amazing wholesome ingredients.

I hope you enjoyed this recipe and it inspires you to have more fun with your coffee adventures this fall.
