Best Non Toxic Gel Nail Wraps || Lauren B Nail Wrap Review

A honest review from a girl who has to much anxiety to go to nail salons! Yes I am that girl who apparently does not enjoy pedicures or manicures. I would much rather do my nails in the comfort of my own home while listening to Taylor Swift or watching my favorite show. Also the known chemicals and studies I have read on nail polishes in salons will forever keep me from getting manicures. Often they use 7-10 product on your hands and feet filled with cheap ingredients containing BHT, formaldehyde, fragrance, and parabens.
“Researchers tested the urine of 26 women volunteers before and after they applied nail polish. Two to six hours after they painted their nails, 24 of the 26 volunteers in the study had slightly elevated levels of DPHP in their urine. Ten to 14 hours after polishing their nails, the DPHP levels in all 26 participants had risen by an average of nearly sevenfold, suggesting that more of the TPHP had entered their bodies and been metabolized into DPHP.” -Enviromental Working Group
Therefore, when Lauren B said she was launching non toxic gel wraps I knew I was going to be obsessed.
How to Apply: When I do use nail polish I have always enjoyed Lauren B 7 free nail polish and these nail wraps are revolutionary! The nail wrap kit comes with 18 gel nails so you can easily find your nail shape! It also includes everything you need to apply them like a pro. First you want to start with nails that are trimmed, filed, buffed and clean. Use the wipe in the kit to remove any excess oil on the nails. Next apply the gel starting at the center of your nail and press outward to secure the gel into place. Use the spatula side of the wooden stick in the kit to press down and secure even more. Next, bend over the excess nail wrap over your nail to make an indent on what needs to go. Next use nail clippers or scissors to remove any left over and use the file in the kit to smooth the edge of the wrap to your nails.
Final Thoughts: What I like about the application is it took a nail or two to get use to the process but after that it was just press, clip and file your nail to the perfect gel mani! No nail polish mess and no dry time. For $16 you can not beat the price of a fancy non toxic gel polish manicure. Unlike others on the market they are not an adhesive sticker you peel its just 100% gel polish! Different than press on fake nails, I love that these are just on top of your real nails so they are really comfortable. Also I love that the designs are short nail friendly, and the designs are so eye catching it really makes me feel like I just paid $60 for the perfect nail design. The polish lasts about 10 days and I got one in every design and have them already planned through the holidays what ones I will be wearing.
